Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone.

Many of the veterans we serve live with disabilities. An accessible platform isn't a feature for us — it's the whole point. Here's what we commit to, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

Our commitment

We design and build S.C.A.R. Group to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the accessibility standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Accessibility is part of how we build, reviewed as we go — not added at the end.

What that means in practice

  • Every control works with a keyboard alone — no mouse required — with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Text and interface colors meet strong contrast levels so they stay readable for low-vision users.
  • Status and progress are never shown by color alone — they always include text or an icon as well.
  • Pages use proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them cleanly, with a skip-to-content link on every page.
  • You can enlarge the text in your browser without the layout breaking.
  • Animation is kept minimal and honors your device’s “reduce motion” setting.

Where we’re still working

Accessibility is ongoing. Some newer features are still being audited and improved, and we test with assistive technology as we build. If any part of the platform is hard to use, we want to hear about it — your report helps us fix it faster.

Report a problem — or ask for another format

If you run into a barrier, or you need information from S.C.A.R. Group in a different format, email us at intake@scargroupllc.com. Please tell us the page you were on and what happened, so we can help quickly.

We aim to respond within 3 business days, and we’ll work with you to give you the information or help you need another way in the meantime.
